Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship: Reliance Industries Limited has instituted the Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship that provides full financial assistance for the two-year Stanford MBA Program inclusive of all fees associated with applying and attending the course. Eligibility is limited to Indian nationals living in India. Each Reliance Dhirubhai Fellow will receive the full cost of attendance, including tuition, living allowance, books and supplies, course materials, medical insurance, study trip, and travel, working out to approximately US$85,000 for a single student and US$95,000 for a married student per year. All Reliance Dhirubhai Fellows are required to return to India for a period of at least two years employment in the public or private sector, within two years of completing their Stanford MBA studies. Stanford may award up to five Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowships each year. For Indian applicants, the fellowship becomes even more important, since Stanford might limit non-fellowship Indian applicants to maintain their diversity balance.

Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship Process: Up to 50 Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship finalists will be selected (notification by 1 Jul 2010) based on academic and professional merit, commitment to developing India, and financial need. The finalists will be given a free GMAT exam voucher or will not bear any Stanford application fees. The Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship finalists will face identical admission standards to other Stanford MBA applicants. Selected Fellows will be notified in Dec 2010.
